“KRILL” is made from 100% kills caught in the clean Antarctic Ocean and extracted and purified using the high technology (patented technology) of a Japanese fishing company.
Krill oil abounds in DHA, EPA, astaxanthin.

◆Phospholipid-linked DHA derived from Antarctic krill
Krill oil Generally distributed DHA and EPA are derived from fish oil and are triglyceride-type (natural fat) DHA, whereas krill oil extracted from krill contains phospholipid-linked DHA & EPA.
Krill oil is characterized by being easily ingested different from general fish oil DHA.

Antarctic krill contains a multiple of ingredients such as protein, fat, vitamins, chitin or a kind of food fiber and a plant pigment called astaxanthin. Fat is the most notable ingredient among them.
Krill oil extracted from Antarctic krill contains valuable omega-3 fatty acids (unsaturated fatty acid). It has the Omega-3 fatty acid DHA content of 13% or more and EPA content of 5% or more.


◆Omega-3 fatty acids (unsaturated fatty acid)
Omega-3 fatty acids is widely watched as DHA・EPA. It is essential fatty acid and an essential component of cell membranes.
Conventional DHA and EPA are famous for being extracted from fish oil, whereas Omega-3 fatty acids of this product “KRILL” is extracted from crustacean and contains Phospholipid-linked DHA・EPA.
Fatty acids DHA and EPA extracted from fish oil are triglyceride-type (natural fat) , which suffer from several weaknesses such as being difficult to be ingested and easily-oxidizable.
Krill oil derived from Antarctic krill used for “KRILL” is “difficult to oxidize, and stabilized”; ““easy to be ingested” because the combination of phospholipid and DHA・EPA is similar in mechanism to the fat in the body; and “highly safe” because the oil is extracted from krill caught in the clean Antarctic Ocean. These are the main features of “Krill”.


◆Phospholipid
Phospholipid is hot nutrient following chondroitin and glucosamine. It is also called lecithin which is a major component of cell membrane, and assumes an important role in cell-to-cell association, material transfer in and out of cell membrane, and cell-cell signaling. Phospholipid derived from krill mainly consists of phosphatidylcholine which is the major component of cell membrane.
“KRILL” contains abundant, not less than 40% phospholipid.
Omega-3 fatty acids increase their absorbing ability when combined with phospholipid.


◆Astaxanthin
Astaxanthin is contained in the crustacean shell of shrimps, crabs and the red parts of fishes which eat shrimps and crabs. It is an ingredient called “carcinoid” like the lycopene of tomatoes and the beta-carotene of carrots.
Astaxanthin contained in krill oil can be easily ingested since it is animal and re-esterified ingredient.
